While we do not impose any specific restrictions on new client opportunities, and our clients come from all types of backgrounds, we have noticed over the years certain characteristics are very common among the clients who match up well with our firm. Delegation – Our clients want to be kept informed and updated on a regular basis, but they want to delegate the day-to-day investment decision making and execution to our firm and not try to micro-manage along the way. They often do not have the time, interest, emotional wiring or the background (or some combination of those) necessary to navigate the world of investing over a long period of time without some assistance. They want a trusted and competent advisor handling this part of their life.

Responsiveness – Our clients expect our firm to respond to their requests in a timely manner, and in turn they tend to be very responsive when something is requested of them. This mutual commitment helps us to deliver service at the excellent level clients deserve.

Communication – Our clients are open to, and in most cases in favor of, the use of technology to communicate efficiently. Our firm has become known for embracing new forms of communication to keep clients up to speed on the latest topics of interest involving the investment arena, our client portfolios or our business. Some of our regularly used technology includes: a web-based, daily performance reporting system, video updates, virtual meetings, video conferencing, email updates, and blogs.

Geography – Our clients believe that the geographic proximity of their location to our firm’s location is an irrelevant factor in determining the success of the relationship. With our current base of clients spread across the United States and in foreign countries, our technology systems were designed so our firm can be operated from anywhere and we also are able to work effectively with clients who live anywhere.

Advocacy – Our clients have a genuine appreciation for the work we do on their behalf, and we have a genuine gratitude for the trust and confidence they have placed in us. In many cases, they have put the entire amount of their liquid assets under our care, and we take that responsibility very seriously. When our clients are very satisfied with our services, they tend to not keep that a secret, which tends to lead them to introduce us to more quality client relationships. In fact, that is the only way our business finds more investors to serve, and the advocacy of our clients just further fuels our win/win value proposition.
